food and fumblings toward fitness
Oct. 7th, 2003 09:04 pmThe latter first- I really didn't want to go for a walk/run today, but since I work tomorrow and have rehearsals and/or meetings for the next two evenings (AND I'll be in PA for the faire this weekend...) I needed to get my butt moving. I did a shorter route, just three miles. But this is the thing- I ran most of it. I walked a bit, ran a mile, walked a bit, ran another mile, etc. So I did probably 2.25-2.5 miles running, and the rest walking. I was immensely proud... and rather surprised. I wasn't breaking any speed records, mind you. Even so... happy!
Then I came home and made a crustless crab and swiss quiche with a tossed salad partnered with a homemade balsamic/dijon vinaigrette. Yum!!!!!!! I also have another crockpot meal a-brewing; I figure I'll need it to feed Don for lunch on Thursday. What is it about good food that just makes me so happy?
