Okay.

I'm not a shopper. I'm not a girl who likes buying things for herself. More to the point, I hate clothes shopping with a fiery passion and I really, really don't understand the whole 'shoe' thing.

That being said, I want these. A lot. And I think I want them in brown, which is weird since I'm so very much a 'black 'cause it's easy and I can't be bothered' type of person.

But... holidays are coming, so I really can't spend that money on myself. I could ask for them for my birthday/Christmas, but I know I really need practical things like socks and undies and sports bras* and a new stock pot, or better still an enameled cast iron dutch oven - excellent quality only, thanks (see? I'll go for quality in cook-ware; just not Kelly-wear).


fmeh. I suck at being a girl.


Advise me, flist. Tell me I'm right to balk at spending that kind of money (which is, admittedly, not unreasonable for a good pair of boots). Tell me I'm an idiot. Bad at Girl-ness? Good at Fan-Girlness? (since I was inspired by a Doctor Who character to even seek out these boots). Or just reply with something random or distracting or happy or interesting or adorable . That's good, too.
